Bibaa & Nicole: Murder in the Park tells the heartbreaking story of sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, who were murdered in a London park in June 2020.  What followed was a devastating series of failures: their disappearance was dismissed by police, the search was left to their loved ones, and the officers who were meant to guard the crime scene instead took and shared photos of their bodies.

As the series unfolds, it becomes clear that this is not just about one tragic night. It lays bare the wider issues their case brings into focus — the violence faced by women and girls, the rise of misogynistic ideology, and the deep, ongoing problem of institutional racism issues that feel even more urgent and widespread today than they did in 2020.

Raw, emotional, and compelling, ‘Bibaa & Nicole – Murder in the Park’ honours the lives of Bibaa and Nicole, asks difficult questions about institutional racism, the wider epidemic of violence against women and girls, and examines the injustices exposed by Bibaa & Nicole’s case.

This series wouldn’t have been possible without the strength, honesty, and generosity of Bibaa and Nicole’s friends and family — especially their extraordinary mother, Mina Smallman. Her tireless fight for justice, and her courage in holding power to account, was nothing short of inspiring.
